Our second custom Bouquet urn, handmade with love in memory of our sweet Aunt Gennie. Our cousin received the first piece, a tulip bouquet. With this piece, we worked with our Uncle to design this mixed bouquet with hummingbird. We love how the finished piece turned out! We hope that it brings our uncle and family comfort and beautiful memories of our precious Gennie. She would have loved it.
We were contacted by Roger shortly after the unexpected passing of Lee. Separately and together, they wrote music and lyrics. He was looking for a special memorial that represented her lifelong love of music and singing.
To give us a connection to who Lee was, he emailed us some photos of her and some of their most recent songs.
Roger decided he would like a guitar urn modeled after the guitar she had played the last 10 years... her curvy Yamaha Compass cut-away.
Extra special and sentimental touches were added... a raised microphone adornment, engravings of song lyrics they wrote, and a love note in her handwriting. One song he sent with us was "Walk You Through", a song about losing a loved one. We shared with him this moment of engraving her handwritten inscription...
Prior to completing Lee's guitar, we received the most thoughtful package from Roger that included 5 CDs of their music <3 We deeply appreciated his sweet words and the kind gesture given to us, even in his time of grief.
His note enclosed read:
Hello Jamaica & Rob,
Please find a small token of appreciation from Lee and I for the kindness, the personal touch and the love you have provided. Such a rare commodity these days. Service. In the box are 3 early recordings of Lee, including her Canadian release. Also included are my only recordings with Lee helping, and Lee's last recording (solo that is), "Victory Dance". Hope you enjoy, Roger (& Lee)
We LOVED getting a chance to listen to a collection of Lee's music
dating back nearly 20 years. As well as, hearing Roger sing- we love
his folky, soft-rock style.
We were honored to create this piece in her memory, finding connection through her music, and offering Roger some comfort with a tribute handmade with love.
We're sometimes overcome by significance of this memorial art and what it means for others. We take it so seriously, that it has it's moments of overwhelm with our desire to always do our best and meet any expectations the customer has...
...then we stop and take a deep breath.
We reflect on our purpose and give thanks for opportunities... to be a positive force, bringing comfort to others through our work... it's powerful, it's humbling, it's heartbreaking, it's beautifully human... it's love.
From our first communication with the Theriaque Family, we were so touched by their open hearts and kind words....
We worked with them to create a unique butterfly urn to remember their little girl. They chose design elements that they wanted represented.....the size, positioning, colors and engraving inscription.
The result, a sweet, precious cremation urn for Baby Vienna....
This custom guitar memorial is bound for Australia. We collaborated
with the customer to create this special remembrance piece for her dad.
It is inspired by his left-handed, cut-away Washburn that he loved so
much.
It reads, Stairway to Heaven Dad (with flame design) 21.02.68 - 21.12.16
We received this kind note from his daughter:
"Thank you both it's absolutely beautiful!...
I'm absolutely blown away at the outcome, it's
truly amazing the work you do. I'm so grateful to have found you, I'd
spent days searching for something to celebrate my dads passions in life,
and you've delivered so much more than I'd ever expected...It's unbelievable the work and attention to detail. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful memorial for my dad. It
has so much character, he would have loved it and I certainly do. I'm
absolutely over the moon. Thanks again Jamaica and Rob, you've truly outdone yourselves." - Bethany S.
